Making the Target Audience Tangible
Personas consolidate user segments into a personal description. The advantage: Personas appear more authentic and are thus significantly more inspiring for creative teams than detailed target group descriptions. However, personas are less detailed and precise than statistically described customer segments.

Personas have a wide range of applications. Here are some typical use cases:

  • Personas are excellent for identifying necessary product adjustments that your users truly need.
  • Marketing can use personas to develop effective strategies. When creating content marketing strategies, for example, personas are crucial for focusing keyword research and serving as a reference when drafting texts.
  • In sales, companies also rely on personas. They serve as a starting point for developing relevant benefit arguments based on customer types.
  • Finally, customer support teams can use personas to serve customers better and with more empathy.
Our Tip:
Persona profiles should bring typical and sometimes atypical representatives of your target groups to life. But don't get too bogged down in details. You can always refine the profiles as your project progresses.
